This is a testimony of Jesse Smith of Declo, Idaho.
After several weeks of having a hard time breathing, Jesse went to his doctor to get medical help. His doctor took some tests. And on April 4th, I called to get the results of his X-rays. The doctor's nurse told me to get him to Minidoka Hospital as soon as possible. It was around 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon. We arrived at the hospital and he was immediately admitted.
His heart rate was 173. Near cardiac arrest. The doctor and staff at the hospital were doing all they knew to do.
Family and friends came in and stayed the night one at a time to be with him and pray.
On Sunday afternoon, April 6th the head nurse came into the room and ask me if Jesse were to pass on, did I want to put him on a ventilator , shock his heart back, or let him go. I told her it was up to him. I asked him if he wanted me to call the rest of his children that were out of state to come. He nodded his head, Yes. He was gray in color and his body was swollen. They were trying to get all of the swelling down.
As the days went on all of our children and five of our grandchildren came to the hospital to be with him.
The Lord had spoke a word to my heart and I held it, but my mind began to try and tell me different.
Here is what the Lord said... "No harm shall come nigh thee or thy household" There was victory!
On April 11th, Jesse was life flighted to St. Luke's Hospital in Boise Idaho. While there, he was given more test. He had a leaky heart valve. He needed it repaired along with a double by-pass surgery.
The Lord spoke a word to Chris Crofford. He sent the word with Michael, our son. The word was "You're not going to a funeral, but to a resurrection"
The nurses and Doctor at Minidoka hospital in Rupert Idaho expected Jesse to pass on.
But on may 27th 2008 he had a double by pass surgery and the leaky valve repaired. He was sent home on June 1st from St Lukes Hospital. The doctor at St Lukes was amazed at how well he did and was doing.
Now weeks have went by & he went for his appointment to his doctor in Rupert Idaho a week ago. The doctor came into the room and said and I quote, "Jesse, I heard your strong voice coming from this room... JESSE, YOU HAVE BEEN RAISED FROM THE DEAD"!!!! unquote...
We thank all for their many prayers and for those that called and came to visit him in both hospitals. We give honor and thanksgiving to our Lord... amen
