This may sound like a strange word to use for a writing about Spiritual things. Partiality is defined as “biased attitude or behavior” In a biased attitude we are prejudiced: unable or unwilling to form a fair or objective opinion about somebody or something.
How often we refer to the verse in Romans 8: 19 “For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.”
If we aren’t careful we will read into this a large number of son’s and see a separation from the body each member seeing himself as the full Son. When in fact it is many members that is cooperated into one body. The verse in Eph 4th chapter gives a vivid picture of the unity of the Spirit. We see the offices of Apostles, prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and teachers, equipping the saints, building up the body of Christ. Starting at the 4th verse through the 6th we see. There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. (ASB)
Continuing on in this chapter we see all of this is to bring us to the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a mature man. To the fullness of Christ. If we are not careful we become focused on self, and in so doing the ego will take over, proclaiming to be the Christ. There is only on Christ and one body of Christ. This is not made up of many Christ’s but many members. These members dieing out daily to self motivation, comes into unity with other members until it is all fitly put together to be the one body of Christ.
This is the building of God made without hands. A place of habitation for the Almighty God. Father of us all and in all.
I want to encourage the reader to take a moment, and see how when Joseph of Arimathea, and Nicodemus, took the body of Jesus and prepared it for burial as the customs of the Jews. There was a garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. John 19th chapter This set of Scripture spoke volumes to me. I could see Adam (mankind) begin His journey coming forth from the Father as male and female, in the image of God. Walking in harmony with the Father. Then in a deep sleep a opening was made in the side of Adam. Another form of life was taken from him (Woman) they were placed in a garden where no man had been before. You know the story how the disruption came and they were driven out of the garden. Now I look at the piercing of the side of the Lord, out comes the Blood and Water.
John 3: 5 Truly, truly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. We also remember the flood where eight people were brought to safety through the waters.
1John 5:4-8 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world--- our faith. 5. Who is the one who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
6. This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the spirit is the truth.7. For there are three that testify: 8. The Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.
Rev 21:6 Then He said to me, “It is done, I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. Can you hear what the Spirit is saying? “I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. “After this Jesus, knowing that all things had already been accomplished, to fulfill the Scripture, said “I am thirsty.” John 19: 28 We understand Jesus on the cross is all of mankind, The promise is He is going to give all of mankind drink of the water of life. It cost them nothing He paid the price. Come drink freely. Here again we must realize we are all one in this body of flesh, (mankind.) In Christ each member is given drink from the waters of life. Man/Woman, male/female we are all one in Christ. In self we can as Jesus stated, “do nothing.” Just as He did not take any glory to himself, neither are we to glory in self. All praise and glory is given to the Father of us all. We are His Son. Not many but Son. Our completeness is in Christ. He became sin for us, He died for us, He resurrected us. Now they and us have become one new man completed in Christ. They lay Him in the tomb in the garden, Mankind came to an end, We were returned back to the Garden The Water and Blood flowing from God and the Lamb cleansed us The water of the Word washed us clean that day. His Blood destroyed sin and death. He redeemed, justified and glorified us. We are bone of His bone, and flesh of His flesh, made complete in Him. As He is so are we in this world. As he is one with the Father, His prayer to make us one with them is answered. We need not wait for another day. Now the Son of God is manifested in a Body He that has ears let Him hear!
